Ovens:
When space is tight, and it usually is where Irish builders are concerned, built in ovens are practically necessary. Commonly used in apartments, they can be installed at centre level and built into the cabinets. Many ovens have a door that pulls downward. This sort of door will provide a very convenient transitional shelf. Ovens will usually have only one power supply, gas or electricity, but not both
Hobs:
It is common for a Kitchen hob to be placed on top of the oven. These can be either gas hobs or electricity.
Microwave Ovens :
Microwaves are kitchen appliances that are safer and much less expensive than other kitchen appliances. They are easier to operate than conventional ovens especially because you set the cook time and the microwave immediately turns itself off at that pre-determined time. Microwave ovens are perfect for convenience in the rush that is modern Ireland today. They may be convenient but not necessarily the more healthy option because of the pre-packed nature of the food. Many microwaves have pads for programming the operation you need, such as cooking popcorn, re-heating soup or beverages, defrosting frozen leftovers etc. Some microwaves have a timer dial rather than a touch pad.
